Nilsun Gürsoy is a senior legal and policy associate at Inclusive Development International. She is a lawyer with a background in human rights as well as corporate law. Previously, she worked as a consultant at the International Federation for Human Rights (FIDH), leading research and conducting international advocacy on civic space issues in relation to Turkey. She was also a research fellow at Front Line Defenders, where she monitored the cases of harassment of human rights defenders and supported the defenders at risk in their international advocacy needs. Early on in her career, she spent time as an intern at EarthRights International and Danish Institute for Human Rights, concentrating on corporate accountability and corporate respect for human rights. She obtained her LL.B. degree at Galatasarary University in Turkey in 2014 and LL.M. at Harvard Law School in 2017.
